We recommend The Laurel Inn. The staff & Manager Gill were excellent. They all went out of their way to make our stay amazing. The rooms were comfortable, bed, sheets, pillows, shower were perfect. The location near restaurants, bakeries, and all the nearby neighborhoods are full of great things to explore
Stayed here for one evening as it was centrally located to an appointment. The service was so kind and they have everything I need. The room and bed were comfortable, the bathroom amenities were nice, and it was quiet during the evening. I'm very appreciative to the front desk staff who assisted me - they offered things I needed and made a photocopy for me. The lounge next door was perfect when I just wanted to relax and get a quick bite. Will stay here again.

Nice, clean rooms (renovated). No street noise from California St.. Convenient covered parking w very reasonable overnight fee (unlimited in and outs). Perfect location with nice cafes and restaurants nearby. Bonus benefit: JDV is part of Hyatt, useful for points redemption!
I do not know how I missed this place for the past several years. It maybe they are newly added into the Marriott hotel chain. The location is more than good. The best neighborhood. Few blocks from the park. The lobby is very lovely. Our room is spacious and well cleaned. Somehow the wall between our bathroom and next door neighbor is so thin we overheated all her family dramas. The staff are nice and helpful. We enjoyed our stay and will sure consider this place as our top choice next time to SF.
